Winter Story Telling Time at Sierra Mono Museum

2023 Event dates to be announced. Story Telling normally happens about mid-December, January & February.

Bass Lake Fishing Derby  (May)

Cast your line for a chance to win a $10,000 fish! The Bass Lake Fishing Derby brings fishermen, families and friends from all around. 

 

Yosemite Half Marathon (May)

Race through the Sierra National Forest and the Sierra Vista Scenic Byway for this 13.1 mile Yosemite Half Marathon.

Bass Lake | Yosemite Triathlon (Saturday after Memorial Day Weekend)

Swim, bike run your way around beautiful Bass Lake. With its location just miles out of Yosemite's southern entrance the Bass Lake | Yosemite triathlon is among the most beautiful triathlons in the California.

North Fork Logger's Jamboree (1st Weekend in July)

This lively annual event located at the North Fork Recreation Center, pays tribute to the loggers of time past and those still keeping the tradition alive today. Participants in the Jamboree help us appreciate and honor the loggers craft and hard work, while keeping us entertained throughout the competition.

The Sierra Mono Museum invites one and all to share in the celebration of our heritage and culture at the 45th Annual Indian Fair Days & Pow Wow – held the first weekend of August each year.

Grizzly Gravel & Century Charity Rides (October)

Sierra Art Trails  (October)

The Sierra Art Trails Op0en Studio Tour gives art enthusiasts the chance to see fine art and fine crafts in the making, and to purchase works directly from the people who create them. The show takes place in homes, studios, galleries, and businesses in more than a dozen communities in Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties.

Sierra Vista Scenic Byway Annual Meeting

Join us at the Byway’s 2022 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, November 30th at the Sierra Mono Museum from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The museum is located at 33103 Road 228, North Fork. We will have a great program this year sharing the Native American contributions and history connected to the Byway, followed by a brief business meeting and exciting updates. Just a visit to the museum will be worth your time! Light refreshments will be available.
